TICKETMASTER APPROVES SUPER SOUNDS TEMPORARY LOCATION!
An Agreement between Super Sounds and Paragon Printers located at 117 South Main Street, Goshen Indiana has allowed Northern Indiana's only TICKETMASTER outlet to survive. The outlet will be up and running on Friday, February 11 at 10 a.m. The weekly hours of operation will be Monday to Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m. until all major on sales are completed. that's usually 1 p.m. Eastern time. Also, Super Sounds is still operating its exclusive Morris Performing Arts ticket outlet at T. G. Music 123 South Main Street Goshen.

It is with deep sadness that we have been forced to close our Elkhart store. After a great run of 25 years, from 1983 to 2008 Super Sounds enjoyed great success bringing all forms of media to the buying public of Michiana.
In early 2008, after the taxpayer bailout of the banking industry credit just about dried up to small business. In Super Sounds' case our bank froze our credit line, not allowing us to draw from it.
In September of 2008 our CD distributor changed our credit terms from 45 days dating on invoices with a total line of credit of $20,000.00 to 15 days dating and a $2,500.00 maximum balance.
To compound Super Sounds financial situation during the last three years, up until the LIVE NATION/TICKETMASTER merger, We did not have any ability to make commissionable sales to any LIVE NATION concert events happening any where in the entire Midwest.
In the 20 years leading up to 2007 Super Sounds reaped the benefit of operating a TICKETMASTER outlet with commissions equal to and in some years exceeding our annual rent obligation to our landlord(s).
We also had to defend ourselves in a law suit brought by our Landlord at Northfield Plaza. We walked out on the last two years of the contract because of the Landlords' lack of complete construction on the space next to Super Sounds leaving us without any insulation in one of our walls causing extremely high utility bills. This default on the part of the ownership of the Northfield Plaza was not the only reason for our early departure.
The good news is that on January 14th of 2011 the case was dismissed by the courts.
Lay the economic conditions of the Elkhart area over the last three years on top and it adds up to the demise of your local independent music store.
Sure, the internet has changed the buying habits of music lovers all over the world. We just felt, and still do feel, that there would always be a place in the landscape for a full service "physical" touch it, feel it, stick it in your ear CD store that believes in YOUR right to buy the uncensored musical styling's of obscure artists unknown to the casual listener.
So, if I get lucky and find the right individual to partner with, we will build a new version of Super Sounds with our Ticketmaster toys AND have a kick ass web presence to move our massive remaining inventory and to better serve you, our loyal customers and the surfer dudes out there in cyber space.
